Simple Taxes

Not married, no kids, no house....yet. So it took me 10 minutes to do my taxes online just now. I'd forgotten that I had changed my withholding to 1 this year, so my refund is not as big as in the past, but at least I had all that money instead of the government using my money for a whole year and not paying me interest on it.

I made chili last night but realized I forgot to get crushed tomatoes at the store, so it's a bit soupy. Still tastes good, though.

Tomorrow I'm off to Tulsa again until Friday. It's only a 4 hour drive, but there are a lot of little towns to go through, and that bugs me to have to break my cruise. The upside to all this driving is that I get mileage until my company car gets all set up. I'm told we use the Ford Fusion now. Anyone have any opinions on it? I really disliked the Chrysler 300 that I used this past year. I had to give that one back to its original owner/borrower when she came back to her position. I'm hoping the Ford Fusion is much better.

In the land of Guy, things are going very very slowly. Too slowly, but oh well.

That's all for now.

i have no opnion on the car, but i am sad to hear that things in LOG are slow, but maybe slow will win the race? who knows. i make a giant pot of chili every week. I use 7 different beans, 4 cans of tomatoes, either my own mix or 2 packets of mix, 1 peppers, 1 onion and if i have any veggies, they go in too and 1-2 cans of water. i love it and most people, once they get over the veggies, like it too.

chili is one of those things where people get crazy over and want it done a specific way.

I hear it's a good car. Although I myself don't know. Many people I know like it.

I did that before with chili and still tasted alright.

I can't do beans in my chili, and I hate cooked veggies (don't ask me why I think cooked crushed tomatoes are ok....probably because they are tiny).....

Of COURSE you can't "do beans"!! You are a Texan, and Texans know that chili does NOT include beans. Beans are to be served on the side, if you have to have them!

Thank you Verb! I hate beans in chili, but since Denis does (he's from SWGA and has no taste) I put them in, but pick them out of my bowl. Anything called "beans" are nasty.

Verbie....and the beans must be either ranch style or barbecue baked beans.

Ah, Ranch Style Beans, the ethnic food of our (Fort Worth) people!!

I HATE beans in my chili. Won't even eat chili that has them. When I was a kid, my stepmom would make chili with beans and I would eat the sauce and the meat and leave a pile of beans at the bottom of the bowl.

My stepmom was a bit of a nazi and one of those "you'll sit there until you eat it" people so I spent MANY an evening sitting at the table until midnight cuz I wouldn't eat the beans. I think that made me hate them all the more.

Oh yeah, and in regards to the LOG going slow . . . red alert. My opinion.
