He was about 2 years old. I also found white spots on Tchaikovsky, which is a tell-tale sign of ich/ick, so I ran to the pet store and bought some medication and put it in the tank.
I found Salieri open-mouthed, stuck in an archway of the big tank ornament. I think he either succumbed to ich/ick before I could tell the fish had it, or he got stuck trying to swim through the space and drowned somehow.
I've read that goldfish can live to be 20 or 30 years old.
In my research on ich/ick, I learned that stress can make fish susceptible to it. I did just move them and set up a new home for them, and the temperatures fluctuate wildly in my office because the RTU that services it is having problems.
Hopefully the rest will be ok. Rimsky-Korsakov was looking lethargic yesterday as well, but the pleco and the 4 small goldfish appeared peachy keen.

I'm sorry to hear that, she was a few years old wasn't she?
